भारतीय दूतावास द्वारा वृक्षारोपण
आज पर्यावरण दिवस पर भारतीय दूतावास की ओर से स्लेमम्मेस्ताद, नार्वे में स्थित सनातन मंदिर और लिएर स्थित गुरूद्वारे गुरुनाक निवास पर वृक्षारोपण का कार्यक्रम था. यह सूचना भारतीय दूतावास से प्राप्त हुई. यह बहुत खुशी की बात है.
Dear friends,
I
would like to inform that as part of celebrations of the 150th Birth
Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, the Government of India has decided to
plant trees worldwide through the Indian Embassies abroad on the
occasion of the World Environment Day i.e. 5th June, 2019,
as the theme of this year is “Air Pollution”.
As
you may be aware, World Environment Day is a UN Environment-led global
event, which is celebrated worldwide on 5th June every year to raise
awareness on protecting the environment and to reduce the burden of
plastic pollution on natural places, wildlife and
health.
Last year, India hosted the 2018 World Environment Day. The theme of
the event was “Beat Plastic Pollution”. India successfully launched a
historic slate of activities ranging from nationwide clean-ups, to
single-use plastic bans across States. Speaking at the
event,
Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi stated that “Together, let us
ensure that our future generations live in a clean and green planet, in
harmony with nature”.
While
the Government of India has committed to organizing and promoting the
World Environment Day celebrations through a series of engaging
activities, the Embassy will be planting trees at Sanatan Mandir Sabha
Slemmestad as well as Gurudwara Shri Guru
Nanak Niwas, Lier, Drammen on 5th June, 2019.
In
view of the above, we would like to appeal all Indian
Organizations/Associations in Norway to take an initiative and plant a
tree wherever it is possible to improve the quality of air that we
breathe. While doing this worthy cause, we will help in reducing the
climate
change,
purifying air, preventing water pollution and saving water, as we all
are committed to making Planet Earth a cleaner and greener place.

नार्वे तो पहले से ही बहुत जागरूक है इस मामले में यहाँ सभी भारतीयों और नार्वेजियों के घर और बाहर बागीचे में पेड़ पौधे लगे हुए हैं. जहाँ कहीं भी पार्क और स्कूल और तालाब स्थापित किये जाते हैं तो पेड़ लगाए ही नहीं जाते उनकी रक्षा की जाती है. पानी दिया जाता है.
भारत सरकार की तरफ से यह कार्य प्रशंसनीय है.
मैंने दिल्ली और अन्य नगरों में देखा है कि लोगों ने नालियाँ घेरकर उसपर अपने निवास बना लिए हैं. अनेक तालाब
गायब हो गए हैं. जहाँ नाला बहता है वहां लोग झुग्गी झोपी बनाकर रह रहे
हैं. आशा है सरकार की तरफ से उठाये कदम से देश और विदेश में पर्यावरण के
कार्यों को और गति मिलेगी।
