NRI Cell soon at Chief Ministers office for early disposal of NRI investors cases and problems- CM Shri Chouhan




Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has announced constitution of an NRI Cell in Madhya Pradesh during the interactive session of 8th Pravasi Bharatiya Diwas conference here today. He said that this cell will be under Chief Minister's Secretariat and he will himself undertake its monitoring. Shri Chouhan said that this cell will be established with the express purpose of early solution to NRI investors problems due to which NRI investors will not have to face any difficulty in investment or otherwise in Madhya Pradesh.
Reiterating his resolve to take Madhya Pradesh on the path of progress and development, Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that the Madhya Pradesh government will have an integrated
industrial township constructed for non-resident Indians between Bhopal and Indore. He informed that there are about 700 water bodies in the state which will be developed from the point of view of tourism. There are several water bodies, especially in Indira Sagar reservoir.
While inviting NRIs to Madhya Pradesh,
Shri Chouhan citied a couplet meaning thereby 'Sons of India are all alike. Invest or not, but do come to Madhya Pradesh'. Earlier, managing director of Madhya Pradesh Audyogik Vikas Nigam Shri Praveen Garg informed the NRIs about the facilities being given to non-resident
Indian investors through an audio-visual presentation.
Industry Minister Shri Kailash Vijayvargi
ya threw light on industrial development in the state during the last five years. He said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Chouhan Madhya Pradesh has garnered investments to the tune of Rs 10 thousand crore. Rs 1.5 lakh crore investment has been made in energy sector. He said that Madhya Pradesh will become a power-surplus state in years to come.

At the interactive session, Shri Padam Khanna of America expressed the wish to establish IPL franchisee and a state-of-the-art stadium and sough 100 acre land for it near Bhopal, Indore and Gwalior. He is ready to invest about $ 250 million for this. Shri Amit of Ratlam district expressed the desire to invest in higher and technical education sectors. Shri J Goyal and Shri Sanjay Goyal of USA, Shri Mohan Jain of Chicago also wished to invest in these sectors. NRI Shri JN Gupta talked of investing in e-learning and e-meditation. Shri Doss of Norway expressed concern on dwindling number of tigers and talked about a new scheme for tiger protection and
conservation.








Shri Suresh Chandra Shukla, also from Norway, expressed the desire to set up a power plant in Madhya Pradesh. All these NRIs expressed the hope that Madhya Pradesh government will extend all possible help to them in their endeavours.
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan promised to extend all possible help to non-resident Indians and invited them to come to Bhopal on January 12. State's Chief Secretary Shri Rakesh Sahni, Principal Secretary Food Processing Shri Anil Shrivastava, managing director of Audyogik Vikas Nigam Shri Praveen Garg and other higher officers of Madhya Pradesh were also present at the session.
